About
Melissa Greczy
Welcome fellow parent! My name is Melissa Greczy. Entrepreneur from the age of 16, I have always lived a little outside the box. Luckily that life includes 2 amazing daughters, Maddy, who is 11, and Sydney, who is 9 years old, a 10 acre farm, 50 chickens, a few turkeys and a dairy cow named Joy :)
When I''m not playing farmer, I get to live out my mission of changing the world, one child at a time. My passion is learning, researching and spreading knowledge on parenting and early childhood education.
I’ve read every possible book about parenting and early childhood development I could get my hands on! My kids haven’t had the most conventional childhood either, as one day they are cleaning out the chicken coop and the next day I am dragging them on one of my adventures to the other side of the world :)
This site is a fulfillment of my dream to create a community where parents, educators, thought leaders and yes, children too, can come together and create a transformation in the lives of children across the globe. You will find personal posts from me, articles from my GiftED staff of writers and researches, interviews with parenting experts and sometimes just a fun video I found on Youtube. I hope you enjoy the blog and please feel free to post your comments - we love hearing your thoughts and feedback!

I just read a great quote from Jack Schafer, Ph.D., he said:
Words cannot change reality, but they can change how people perceive reality. Words create filters through which people view the world around them.
I would like to add to that – words also create filters through which people view themselves – especially children. Just the simplest phrase like “You’re being bad” or “Don’t be stupid” can create a permanent filter through which children see themselves for life.
