Hey everyone! Today’s post is a bit personal as today is the 9th Birthday of my youngest daughter Sydney :D I want to dedicate this post to her.
Life moves so fast… Sydney turns 9 today but (like with most parents) it seems it was not long ago that I first held her in my arms, saw her take her first step, and heard her first word – which actually was not 1 word but 2 – “Shoes on!” Yes, we were waiting for a ‘Moma’ or ‘Dada’ but SHOES took the priority!
She has grow so much in 9 years, I sometimes think our children are growing up too fast as I don’t remember being so worldly at such a young age. The decisions that she makes, her approach to life, and the way she looks at the world are so grown up. Her care for the planet and the the people on it are a constant inspiration to me.
Sydney has courage that comes from a place you can’t teach to…. she takes life head on, takes the leap and builds her wings on the way down. She is my Joy and I am so thankful to have her as my daughter.
I’ll be taking today off and to have some girl fun, but I’ll post some pics of how the birthday celebrations go.
